About Us
We understand how important family relationships are in the recovery process and we also know how addiction affects everyone in the family. This is why our holistic approach works.
The families we support are often leading chaotic lives. They also face complex issues outside of the addiction in their home and community. Carers struggle in isolation, children feel alone, afraid and stigmatised, and individuals seeking to change their lives often face the road to recovery feeling alone and unsupported. We understand how important family relationships are in the recovery process and we also know how addiction affects everyone in the family. This is why our holistic approach works.

We are a trusted organisation – our team are approachable and we don’t judge the people who walk through our door. We look to build rapport and to quickly assess what our individual clients needs are. All of our clients will be treated with respect and we understand the vital importance of confidentiality in the work we do.
‘My husband and I have been working with Hawkspring to help my husband get off drink. Hawkspring has helped my husband, me and my children and talked to us all and were friendly and we could not have done this without them. We trusted them when they said they would support us as a family and they did. They saved my husband’s life and our family life.’
Clients come to us from a number of referring organisations, such as other charities, other local services e.g. GP practices, schools or social services. But equally we get as many clients come to us by self-referral, simply by calling our office or walking through our door. It takes many clients a long time to do that and they may have been struggling alone for years. We understand that they are facing a crisis point. We are always encouraging and supportive.
